Incorporating Evidence- based Practice
Incorporating Evidence- based Practice
The traditional setting paid key attention to improving quality and patient safety through analyzing records to assess the safety concerns of a patient. Currently, nursing has provided key leadership for enhancing care through the employment of the findings in practice. The continuous incorporation of evidence- based practice in nursing has transformed healthcare in various ways. Higher learning institutions have recognized this trend and have begun changing various nursing programs to incorporate evidence-based practice (Burstin, 2016). As a nursing student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Nursing, it is important to have course materials that are not only meant to enhance the knowledge base of a student but also to stress of the importance of transparency in the profession.
Week 10 – Health disparities – Use EBP research to fill the need of a population or culture that does not seek or receive health care due to income or educational inequality. Example: More low-income patients return to the ED 10 days after for wound care because they do not have insurance and cannot afford doctor visits. Devise an evidence-based practice, educational tool for nurses to remove sutures after 10 days in the fast track area of the ED, if the patient has no signs of infection and the wound is well- approximated.

I took the opportunity to meet with my mentor for a few hours and review the ISP along with other necessary forms due for submission to conclude my capstone project. We had a thorough discussion and reflect on the last 9 weeks and decided that new approached need to understand ways to help patients on anticoagulant therapy better adhere to improve their way of life. As I reflect on the last 9 weeks, EBP may seem simple to many but it requires extensive research and time to incorporate findings among the needed population. I’m reflecting on the role of technology in improving health care outcome. Information technology is the basis of an efficient healthcare system in the current and future generation. The main focus in the development of new concepts in healthcare technology is patient care. Technological advancement in clinical applications has had a significant impact in the healthcare system and will continue to have a key role in the years to come (Gao, 2015). As a nurse, I have come to learn that nursing documentation is a very important element of healthcare information. Information systems are designed for nurses whereby documentation can be used to enhance a nurse’s knowledge regarding quality care. The field of nursing has received significant knowledge on how to improve patient care due to the new concepts that have been developed through information technology

You must proofread your paper. But do not strictly rely on your computer’s spell-checker and grammar-checker; failure to do so indicates a lack of effort on your part and you can expect your grade to suffer accordingly. Papers with numerous misspelled words and grammatical mistakes will be penalized. Read over your paper – in silence and then aloud – before handing it in and make corrections as necessary. Often it is advantageous to have a friend proofread your paper for obvious errors. Handwritten corrections are preferable to uncorrected mistakes.
Use a standard 10 to 12 point (10 to 12 characters per inch) typeface. Smaller or compressed type and papers with small margins or single-spacing are hard to read. It is better to let your essay run over the recommended number of pages than to try to compress it into fewer pages.
Likewise, large type, large margins, large indentations, triple-spacing, increased leading (space between lines), increased kerning (space between letters), and any other such attempts at “padding” to increase the length of a paper are unacceptable, wasteful of trees, and will not fool your professor.
The paper must be neatly formatted, double-spaced with a one-inch margin on the top, bottom, and sides of each page. When submitting hard copy, be sure to use white paper and print out using dark ink. If it is hard to read your essay, it will also be hard to follow your argument.
