– Create a new method of tracking disposable items that should be charged to patients to recoup lost revenue. Example: Devise a solution to management’s problems with need for a patient lift to decrease cost of sick time by patient care staff who have back, neck and hip injuries from manually lifting patients. Show in a power point that the cost of the equipment is better than the overall amount of funds paid out in sick time, health insurance premiums (paid by the employer) and increase work load to nursing staff while patient care staff member is off work, thus increasing the risk of more injuries to staff members who have assumed an increased work load.

Even after I started reviewing weeks 9 assignment since week 7, I still became overwhelmed. A mental breakdown was seeping at my feet. I met with my mentor and discussed proposal change necessary for my EPB. My mentor felt we were on the right path with the amount of research completed for this assignment. We also reviewed all feedback from instructor to help formulate this paper in the right direction. A total of 15 hours spent in completion of all tasks. DQ’s were interesting and informative. I decide to reflect on New Practice Approaches. The field of nursing has gone through major transformations in the past few decades. To effectively be able to provide the best care to patients, I have mastered the art of adapting to the transformations. For example, the continuous incorporation of evidence- based practice in nursing has been very crucial in addressing various health conditions such as asthma and diabetes. However, I have come into a conclusion that such principles are not efficiently embraced in the health care setting. The traditional setting paid key attention to improving quality and patient safety through analyzing records to assess the safety concerns of a patient.
You must proofread your paper. But do not strictly rely on your computer’s spell-checker and grammar-checker; failure to do so indicates a lack of effort on your part and you can expect your grade to suffer accordingly. Papers with numerous misspelled words and grammatical mistakes will be penalized. Read over your paper – in silence and then aloud – before handing it in and make corrections as necessary. Often it is advantageous to have a friend proofread your paper for obvious errors. Handwritten corrections are preferable to uncorrected mistakes.
Use a standard 10 to 12 point (10 to 12 characters per inch) typeface. Smaller or compressed type and papers with small margins or single-spacing are hard to read. It is better to let your essay run over the recommended number of pages than to try to compress it into fewer pages.
Likewise, large type, large margins, large indentations, triple-spacing, increased leading (space between lines), increased kerning (space between letters), and any other such attempts at “padding” to increase the length of a paper are unacceptable, wasteful of trees, and will not fool your professor.
The paper must be neatly formatted, double-spaced with a one-inch margin on the top, bottom, and sides of each page. When submitting hard copy, be sure to use white paper and print out using dark ink. If it is hard to read your essay, it will also be hard to follow your argument.
